I’m in Hilton Head this week on a summer coronation to the beach. It’s not a trip we had planned to take but after three months at home the seasons were starting to roll into each other. A change of scenery was just what we needed to differentiate summer from the school year!
: : High-Waisted Two Piece
I love that two piece swimsuits are offering more coverage yet they are not at all frumpy because the tops are typically more minimal to balance out the fuller coverage in the middle. Pro tip: to hide a bump or roll in the tummy region, choose a bottom with a pattern and avoid light, solid colors — they are unforgiving.
Bows, Ties, and Knots
Bows, ties, and knots are popping this year. These are my favorite swimsuits with one shoulder bows and ties that wrap around tops with a knot in front or across the tops of bottoms.
I love how fashion-forward belted swimsuits are and they are so flattering because they draw the eye toward the smallest part of your torso.
Cut outs on one piece swimsuits are placed in clever places to reveal some skin without showing too much.
I’m super happy to see this trend in swimsuits for 2019 because there are finally going to be some attractive rash guard options for women. These are one and two piece swimsuits that incorporate more coverage in a stylish way.
