I practice mindful eating because I sleep better, I feel more energetic, and my motivation increases. Creating a healthy balance with mindful eating for me has meant learning to carb cycle..
Many of us fear they will lead to much-dreaded weight gain. Eating carbs does not have to be an all or nothing approach. I carb cycle to achieve balance in my diet.
The rationale behind limiting your carb intake is that when your body receives limited carbs, your body will burn fat for fuel. But limiting carbs is so hard for most of us to achieve consistently. Carb Cycling allows a better balance in your diet.
Carb cycling works better for me because I can be less restrictive with my diet on certain days of the week. Overall, this is easier for me to achieve as a long term goal.

On a regular carb day -- all of the other days of the week -- I eat well over 125 grams of carbs.
