A Winter Skin Beauty Product I’m Loving Right Now

I’ve got a secret. I recently discovered the most amazing product to help me with my dry winter skin. I hate the feeling of having tight, dry skin on my face. But I found a great product that takes care of it and I just have to share. It’s called No. 1 Brightening Facial Oil and it’s made by Beautycounter. It also turns out that it was on Allure’s Best of Beauty list for 2017. So I guess I’m not the only one who thinks this product is amazing.

Before I go on about the No. 1 serum, I want to get something out of the way. For the sake of full disclosure, a girlfriend that sells Beautycounter asked me if I wanted to try a few products. I’ve been asked to try out beauty products from a variety of vendors and I’m always up for it, but as I told her, I only write about products that I truly believe in. And I definitely do not write about everything I’m asked to try. But just like a good friend, if I find something I really love, I’ll want to tell my girlfriends about it.

Now on to my experience. Since I have dry skin I’m always looking for products that are hydrating. And like many of us with darker complexions, I battle pigmentation issues. Any blemish leaves a dark mark on my skin so I am always on the lookout for brightening serums. A product that advertises hydration and brightening properties is right up my alley.

I first tried the No. 1 serum back in December. The first thing I noticed about it is the citrus-y scent. To be perfectly honest, it’s strong. While I normally like citrus scents, I found this one to be a little overpowering. But after a few days I got used to it and actually began to like it. The oil absorbs into your skin and makes your face feel soft, bright, and dewy which is a nice change from the dull, dry skin I was waking up with.

Driving around town with the heat blowing on my face because of the abnormally frigid temps we were experiencing  wasn’t doing my skin any favors. So whenever I felt like my face was drying out, I began reaching for this product for instant relief. It just absorbs into your skin so quickly and instantly gets rid of that tight dry skin feeling. With other products within an hour my skin feels tight and dry again but with this one my skin was hydrated for hours. I had been using another gel serum for dry skin and it just wasn’t doing the job as well as this one. I blew through my product and returned to my usual hydrating serums.

After a week of going without the No. 1 Brightening serum, I was really missing it. You know when you can’t stop thinking about a product that you’ve stumbled upon something really great. I called my girlfriend and placed an order for a bottle of my very own. I couldn’t wait for it to arrive in the mail. I love this stuff and can’t get enough. So if you are battling dry, brittle, scaly winter skin like I am — this is one you’ll want to try.
