I love to shop but I don’t like to pay full price — who does? So when it comes to end of season sales, I try to be thoughtful about my purchases. A few trends stick around for a couple of years before they go away so at the end of the first season of their popularity is a great time to scoop up an item that will be on trend for another season. I’ve been loving my tie waist (also known as paper bag) shorts this summer and I have a strong suspicion this trend will be around for a while longer.
I picked up these chambray tie waist shorts a few weeks ago. They work so well with black and white tanks and tees. For a cute and comfortable late summer outfit you can wear your paper bag shorts with a lightweight tee knotted in front or a tank or even a bodysuit with a kimono or cardigan layered over it. It’s been so hot lately that I opted to go without the cardigan for now.
