There’s something about a blazer that always makes me feel powerful and professional which is a nice change of pace after ten years of working outside a traditional office. It’s a classic piece that ALWAYS looks great with jeans or with pants, skirt, or a dress for a more traditional look.
Jacket (from the Barcelona retailer Aragaza) but this one and this one are similar and this one is a bargain | Tank | Bralette | Necklace | Jeans (similar) here | Spanish retailer Cetti Shoes (not available for purchase in the U.S.) but this and this are similar.
Tank Dress | Clutch | Bootie (limited sizes) similar here and here | Totebag (similar) here
I haven’t had a blazer in my closet for quite some but after seeing them pop up more and more I’d been thinking about splurging on one. I acquired this one on my trip to Spain and I’ve been wearing it everywhere ever since. I love that I can wear it dressed up and down. Any piece that does double duty like that is always worth having in my opinion.
The most important thing for me in shopping for a blazer is fit. I like mine tailored and feminine cut. Boyfriend-style blazers, however, are very popular now so if you prefer yours loose and boxy — go for it!
