I hope it helps you knock out the shopping quickly. I think we all want to move along to the holiday fun!

if possible, I go for a good consumable gift. Then they aren’t stuck with something that will end up in the donate pile by summer. even if it may mean a few extra calories.
wine at Costco. where would we be without it? Especially at the holidays!
Williams-Sonoma Peppermint Bark is my gift of choice for our piano teacher, and our next door neighbors (they put up with a lot from us!). I also buy an extra tin to have on hand just in case. Though unfortunately, that one tends to become my stash after the holidays.
in the non-consumable department, I’ve had good luck with the ‘life is good’ shirts, especially for the outdoorsy types. I find that they have the right illustration that fits the person for whom I’m trying to buy.
ok, back to my Christmas list…now what in the world is Santa going to bring my 13 year-old?!

Elaine,
I’m a big fan of a consumable gift as well. I think we all feel like we have too much stuff so something that the recipient will enjoy or save for an indulgent moment is a great idea. I long ago moved from favor bags for birthday parties that contain trinkets and other little things to cookies or other treats for the same reason. thanks for reading!
