One of the hottest trends this spring is gingham. Combine it with a couple other trends with staying power from this year and last (ruffle sleeves, off-the-shoulder looks, or both) and you’ve got the formula for the perfect spring dress.
I discovered this gingham dress at Scout & Molly’s at Reston Town Center before my trip to Spain and couldn’t resist buying it because of its Spanish vibe. I wore it to an event in Barcelona and paired it with my favorite canary yellow faux fur coat. Gingham looks great with a pop of color. A bold color shoe, handbag, or earrings would be perfect to wear with black and white gingham.

I wore it again last week to my son’s cotillion ball where he and I put to use the ballroom dance steps he’s been learning all year. I know I’ll have a few more opportunities to wear this dress. It would be perfect for a charity fundraiser dinner or even for Easter.
