One of the best sales of the year — the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — is going on right now. This sale is all about BRAND NEW items on sale for the upcoming fall season. After the sale is over the items get restocked for fall and return to their normal prices. Prices on some things are so good this is a great time to evaluate the holes in your closet and make strategic purchases to fill in gaps. I would also pick up a couple of on trend items.
I’m perusing the offerings this year and will be sharing my top picks for what to pick up at the sale. I always stock up on athletic gear and I’m excited that my favorite On Cloud sneakers are included in the sale.
But first, there are some insider tricks to shopping the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale so you can take advantage of the best deals.
- Become a Nordstrom Cardholder. I rarely advocate to sign up for credit card offers but this one is a must do to get early access to the sale. Early access for cardholders already began. The best items tend to sell out before the general public gets access to the sale on July 15th.
- Shop Online. Truly the store is crazy during this sale so I prefer to shop online because Nordstrom has the best return policy ever and they offer free shipping and free returns. You can return items to the store at any time. Who doesn’t love shopping in their pajamas anyway?
- If Your Size Is Soldout, Buy Another Size. Pro tip: if your size sells out buy a different size, hold on to it, and wait for Nordstrom to restock it. Even if it’s long after the sale you can make an exchange for your correct size at the same price later. But if you wait to buy it after the sale you’ll pay full price.
