Lovely Pleated Skirts

I’ve been trawling the internet looking for the perfect pleated skirt ever since I came back from my European vacation. I can’t get out of my head a vision of loveliness of a woman breezing by me in a brightly colored floral print pleated maxi skirt. It seems like the perfect addition to a spring wardrobe, no?

Well, I didn’t succeed in finding one in a beautiful floral print (well I did, but not in my price range) but I was totally taken by this black and white pleated midi skirt. The minute I saw it I just knew I needed to have it. A pleated skirt is a nice alternative to a dress if you are headed to a wedding, shower, or another special occasion.

A pleated skirt is so versatile too. You can pair it with a statement tee and denim jacket for a dressed down look for everyday wear. Try it in a variety of lengths (above the knee, midi, and full length) and decide which length suits you best.

Born and raised in Michigan, I moved to Washington, D.C. after graduating from the University of Michigan. I received my law degree from Georgetown University and worked briefly as a lawyer before pursuing a decade-long career as a congressional aide on Capitol Hill. These days I am a work from home mom of three kids in Arlington, Virginia. I love to make connections, build my mom network, and share a good tip with a girlfriend (over lunch, of course).
