I don’t know about you, but my sweet tooth cravings hit their peak every afternoon around four o’clock. So I always make sure to have a snack or two before I head off anywhere so I can resist the urge to get something really junky wherever I’m going. I like to eat dried fruit (dried mangoes are my favorite), a clementine, or sometimes I’ll make a bag of mixed nuts with cranberries. But sometimes I really am just craving some chocolate-y goodness. Finally, I think I’ve found the perfect snack to satisfy my craving for something sweet yet is not full of empty calories.

Have you heard of Perfect Bars? You guys, it’s my favorite snack of the moment because it fills me up enough to last until dinner and satisfies my sweet tooth. I like that these bars have a lot of protein, as much as 15 grams of whole food protein in each bar. The ingredients are natural and full of superfoods. They are super yummy too. My favorite flavors are almond butter and the peanut butter chocolate chip. If you are a calorie counter, be forewarned that they are calorie dense.
Perfect bars are in the refrigerated cases in the organic dairy section at your local grocery store. I have found them at Giant, Whole Foods, and Wegmans so far. Give one a try. I’d love to hear what you think of them.
