I am a 51 year-old midlife blogger who believes that David Bowie got it right when he said “aging is the process of becoming the person you always should have been.”

I began Lunch With A Girlfriend in 2017 after lunch with a dear friend who encouraged me to share my passion for fashion, travel, health and wellness. Well, that, and the universe grabbed me by the shoulders and implored me to use my natural gifts for writing and living life beautifully.

In midlife, we learn to follow our bliss and encourage and support other women to do the same. I love my lunches with girlfriends. They inspire me and give me the courage to try new things. I hope that Lunch With A Girlfriend will stir that within you too. After all, life is not about finding yourself, it is about creating yourself.

Born and raised in Michigan, I moved to Washington, D.C. after graduating from the University of Michigan. I received my law degree from Georgetown University and worked briefly as a lawyer before pursuing a decade-long career as a congressional aide on Capitol Hill. These days I am a work from home mom of three kids in Arlington, Virginia. I love to make connections, build my mom network, and share a good tip with a girlfriend (over lunch, of course).
