Household budgets seem to be tighter these days. It feels like nearly everyday there is growing uncertainty about . . . something. The uncertainty has motivated me to spend less and be more careful about my purchases. And after listening to a popular podcast I am even more aware now of how my phone is designed to lure me into impulse purchases so I’m trying to be more aware of how I use my phone as well.
There’s balance in everything so while I’m easing back on my spending I’m also being realistic. Having new clothes is uplifting (for me anyway) and it gives me something to look forward to in a new season. So in accordance with that sentiment, if you are going to buy one new shoe for spring and summer it should be a ballet flat. It is this season’s most popular style and it will be around for the remainder of this year. Ballet flats are as comfortable as slippers and if you choose a neutral color it can also be versatile enough to wear with denim, pants, dresses and shorts.
I’ve browsed a lot of options (so you don’t have to) and selected my top picks below. Happy shopping (on a budget)!
