Statement and graphic tees are all the rage. They are a fun way to say something while you actually say nothing at all. I know many of you probably have at least one in your closet by now. The most expected way to wear a tee is with jeans or a pair of shorts. But there are other possibilities you can try to up your game. So today I’m highlighting two ways to style a statement or graphic tee.
Wear It With A Pencil Skirt
A statement tee and a pencil skirt is an unexpected combination. Pencil skirts always take me back to my suit-wearing office dwelling days. Back then I would have gravitated toward a traditional pairing with a button down collared shirt. This look is unique because the formality of the pencil skirt is juxtaposed with the casualness of a statement tee. On a cooler night you can throw a cardigan or jean jacket overtop to keep warm. I wore mine with sneakers to keep it casual but you can certainly add a dressy shoe to take your look out for date night.

Wear It With A Pleated Skirt
A pleated skirt, an especially a colorful one like this bright pink pleated skirt, gives off a feminine, fun, and playful vibe. A tee shirt is a great piece to wear on top because it adds a little structure in contrast to the flowy skirt. Throw a Moto jacket on overtop and it takes the girl-y girl look down a notch.
